Ernest was born in Jacksonville, FL. and raised just south of Jacksonville, on the St. Johns river in Mandarin, FL. After High School, (left before graduation and joined the Navy), he spent four years in the US Navy. Later he attended UNF while working shift work at a local paper mill, Graduating from UNF in 1975 with a BA in Psychology. He then spent many years selling chemicals to and working in and around the Paper industry throughout the United States and Canada. Later started a Flea Market and Restaurant. He is now retired for the fifth time living in Wakulla County, FL. He still spends much of his time reading Florida histories, hiking, boating, scuba diving, writing and performing his music in various venues around the State, including The Annual Florida Folk Festival at The Stephen Foster Memorial State Park at White Springs, FL., and many other State Park events. His original stories and songs are true historical events pulled from Florida's long and interesting history. The stories and songs will take you to places and events of bygone that most people, even of this State, have never seen or experienced. Ernest can be seen on Youtube, music, under Ernest Toole.
