Robert Bryan - Class Of 1958

BRYAN Robert Bob Marvin Bryan Robert Bryan, a long-time resident of the Jacksonville area, died January 28, 2013 at the age of 73 in Putnam County Medical Center. Born on July 3, 1939 in Jacksonville, Florida. Robert was very active in all high school sports, graduating from Dupont High School in 1958. He enlisted in the Marine Air Reserves for six years. He was Assistant Vice President for Florida National (Westside office) for twenty years until the bank s buyout. He then became skilled in construction and did remodeling as his trade until his retirement in 2007 in Melrose, Florida. Robert loved a good porterhouse steak, Nascar racing, puzzles, an avid bowler and of course the University of Florida fighting Gators. He would always be seen in Gator attire. His parents, Rev. Marvin Sephus & Ruth Marjorie Bryan, precede him in death. Robert is survived by a brother, Richard E. Bryan & a sister, Marlene Bryan Rees (Ronald) Father to: Robert (Bobby & Marie), Suzanne Dennison, Darlene Bryan Aspinwall, and David Bryan Grandfather to: Traci Ostrander (Matt), Robert (Robby&Brandie), Joseph Dennison, Shelby Hoadley, Kaley Bryan, Zachary Bryan, and Devin Bryan Great-Grandfather to: Hunter Ostrander, Ana Hoadley, and Sophia Bryan Uncle to: Tyndall C. Jackson (Missy), Kya D. Bryan-Ruth (Chris), Great-uncle to Kinsy Ruth. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Greenlawn Funeral Home with Stanley Puckett officiating. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
